I’m one of those people fascinated by the awards season. From the Golden Globes until tonight when the coveted Oscar awards are given. There I am, wine in my hand of course, watching every red carpet, criticizing each dress, and of course speaking like an expert about my predictions that I must admit become increasingly accurate over the years. Moreover, I confess, I have stood under the shower, raising my shampoo bottle and imagining what my speech would be if I ever were to win a prize. And until one of my novels gets to be directed by Iñárritu and have Kate Winslet and Leo di Caprio (yes, as if he would be one my closest friends I dare to call him Leo), I have to settle for this: I present you 9 movie titles with which us moms deserve the Oscar award. Relax and enjoy, and if you have another film worthy of being even nominated, I invite you to share it.
